This shampoo smells divinely of coconuts. It suds up and cleans hair and scalp effectively. (I am almost sure that the vague "coconut oil" in the ingredients list is refined into some kind of soap or detergent--but whatever it is, it is still very gentle.) It's too soon to tell if it will slow my hair loss, but it did leave my hair soft, fluffy, shiny, and manageable, and soothed my scalp enough to go an extra day between shampoos. (Note on the packaging: The first time I used this, I hadn't noticed the foil seal--that had lifted off the bottle and stuck up in the applicator tip--until I was in the shower with my hair wet. I had to take the cap off and glop it out into my hand, which wasted a lot of shampoo. The second time I was able to use the little tip to apply the shampoo to my scalp. That worked very well and used much less shampoo.)
