We have been giving serrapeptase (1/2 hr before or 2hrs after food) to our large 9yo dog to help him recover from cruciate ligament surgery. We also give a natural raw meat and veg diet plus vitamins, minerals and fish oil. The vet was astonished at how quickly our dog was recovering from surgery and said he felt he was at least 2 weeks ahead of where he expected him to be. After over-exerting and stiffening up, having some pain, I doubled the dose of serrapeptase giving it 3 times in 24hrs and it definitely made a wonderful difference getting him happily mobile again very quickly. Serrapeptase is something we will continue to purchase for our dog to maintain his good results. My son requires surgery soon and serrapeptase will be part of his recovery plan. Great value for money for a top quality product from Doctor's Best. We wouldn't be without it.

I made the mistake of thinking all calcium ascorbate is the same and purchased another brand in Australia (Melrose). It tasted terrible in comparison to Now brand. I take Calcium ascorbate mixed in sparkling mineral water - very refreshing in summer.
